Structa provided a range of services to allow successful completion of the Chrysalis Park Project. Pre-planning services included Transport, Flood Risk and Surface Water Strategies for the scheme which comprised 386 new private and affordable dwellings and the construction of a primary health care centre.
In addition to the full ground investigation and remediation services, Structa also designed and obtained technical approval for significant off site highway improvements. These included a new signalised junction with MOVA controller and Toucan facilities, re-alignment of the existing carriageway to provide right and left turning lanes and 2 new access points from the existing roundabouts and additional pedestrian crossing points.
The onsite works comprised a full civil and structural engineering design service including roads to be adopted under a Section 38 agreement and a surface water sewer system with attenuation under a Section 104 agreement.
Since the completion of the residential phase of works, the healthcare centre scheme was determined unviable and Structa provided further pre-planning services to help secure permission for an extension of the residential scheme to a total of 441 units.
